Laws are there to keep people safe, to protect their rights, and to ensure that everyone is treated fairly. Some laws, however, can be quite interesting and even bizarre. Here are a few examples of interesting laws that are still in effect in various parts of the world.

1. In ________, USA, it's illegal to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp.

2. In _________, it's illegal to step on money. This is because their currency features images of the royal family, and stepping on it is considered disrespectful.

3. In ________, it's against the law to kiss on the railway. This is because people used to get distracted and miss their trains.

4. In ________, it's illegal to wear hot pink pants after midday on a Sunday.

5. In ________, it's illegal to be overweight. The government measures the waistlines of citizens over the age of 40 to ensure that they are in good health.

6. In ________, you have to own a small animal like a guinea pig or a rabbit. This is because it's believed to keep these animals from feeling lonely and neglected.

7. In ________, it's illegal to scare the queen. Anyone who participates in a prank that scares Queen Elizabeth II can be charged with treason.

8. In ________, you have to check under your car before driving off. This is because it's believed that cats may climb into the engine compartment and fall asleep.

Some of these laws may seem strange or even unnecessary, but they are all still in effect today. It's important to remember that laws may vary from country to country, and what may be legal in one place may not be in another. Knowing local laws and customs can be useful and even make for an interesting conversation starter.

Session 7

1. What do you like about Christmas? Watch the trailer of A Christmas Carol of Charles Dickens

2. Characters of A Christmas Carol
Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character of the story, and is initially portrayed as heartless and cold. He is a wealthy businessman who believes that money is more important than anything else in life. However, after being visited by the ghosts, Scrooge begins to understand the importance of compassion and kindness, and becomes a changed man.

Bob Cratchit is Scrooge's loyal clerk, who is poor and struggles to make ends meet. Despite his difficult circumstances, Cratchit remains optimistic and loves his family deeply. He is a symbol of the working-class and represents the struggles of many people during the Victorian era.

Tiny Tim is the youngest son of Bob Cratchit, who is sickly and relies on a crutch to walk. He is a symbol of hope and represents the importance of caring for those less fortunate than ourselves. Scrooge's transformation is ultimately driven by his desire to help Tiny Tim and prevent his untimely death.

The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future are supernatural beings who visit Scrooge on Christmas Eve. The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge his childhood and reminds him of a time when he was happy and cared for others. The Ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge the joy and love that exists during the holiday season, and the importance of sharing that joy with others. Finally, the Ghost of Christmas Future shows Scrooge the consequences of his actions and the impact they will have on those around him.

3. Celebration in your city: Describe a celebration that is important in your city and the emotions that are associated with it
